TRIGGER WARNING: This story contains themes some readers may find upsetting.
In today's concerning news, Selena Gomez has reportedly checked into a mental health facility after being hospitalised for an alleged 'emotional breakdown', marking her second health scare in just two weeks.
TMZ broke the news that Selena had visited her first hospital in the last week of September, reporting that Selena was "despondent and emotional over an alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant," and so a family member had taken her to see medical professionals.
The singer was released from that hospital a few days after checking in, but was then "re-admitted late last week because her low blood cell count persisted, and it threw Selena into a downward emotional spiral".
TMZ also reports that Selena wanted to leave the hospital, and experienced an "emotional breakdown" when she was told she wasn't allowed to. She's now said to be at a psychiatric facility on the East Coast, and is receiving DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), a treatment used for various mental health conditions.
Clearly Selena is going through a tough time at the moment, but hopefully she is now receiving the treatment that she needs.
